Megana Veeranki
Chairwoman
Megana Veeranki is the oldest daughter of Halcyon’s founder, Mohan Viddam. She grew up watching her father work relentlessly to make Halcyon Solutions what it is today: a company that works hard to aid others by helping their clients fulfill their needs, while also passionately giving back to the community. Balancing both these things was very important to Mohan, who made sure to instill this value in his daughters as well.
Prior to taking up the family business, Megana worked as a business analyst at Nationwide Insurance at their Columbus downtown headquarters. Though her background was in International Affairs and Foreign languages, her interest in IT was sparked during a yearlong internship with Halcyon in her college years; she not only learned the different facets of the business, but also built the internal company portal and revamped Halcyon’s social media presence.
Since then, Megana has had several years of solid IT experience, all of which she uses today when making decisions as a co-owner and Chairwoman for Halcyon. Megana is proud to take the helm of the family business, and hopes to continue her father’s legacy of seeking happiness for Halcyon’s clients, employees, and the communities we live in.
Anju Viddam
CEO
From an early age, Anju Viddam developed a service-oriented mindset that led her to wear many titles in and out of the healthcare sector over the past 8 years. However, her most treasured title has been “youngest daughter” to Halcyon’s founder, Mohan Viddam. Through his influence, Anju learned the importance of living a mission-driven lifestyle where true success comes from combining business and philanthropy.
Anju received her Bachelors in Cognitive Neuroscience and a Masters in Healthcare Administration, which allowed her to work at some top hospitals in the nation. Her strong interests in continuous learning, striving for excellence, and innovative thinking have enriched her past experiences and will continue to pave the way for a similar future within IT. As co-owner and CEO, her goal is to strengthen the reputation of Halcyon as a trusted provider for IT solutions by delivering top talent to clients, demonstrating adaptability, and deepening both internal and external relations.
Anju is proud to be the other half of a minority women-owned business alongside her sister, that invests in the well-being of Halcyon’s clients, employees, and community.
Alan Day
COO
Alan graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting where he then worked for about 5 years at a local CPA firm right out of college. His responsibilities included but were not limited to: non-for-profit & government agency audits, 990’s, schedule A’s & 5500 tax returns.
Alan then spent the next 15 years working for companies in the construction and property, manufacturing, and management industries. During this time, he gathered a wide range of skills within the operations and HR side of business, working in multiple states & countries. Alan has a proven record at cutting lead times, reducing back-office costs, and streamlining companies as they navigate today’s economic challenges. Day’s extensive experience within HR has enabled him to foster a positive workplace environment and maintain the highest levels of employee retention.
Alan has been with Halcyon since 2011 and has been instrumental in developing a strong accounting team while also maintaining the daily operations of the company.
Heather Johnston
Sr. Account Executive
Heather has always been a connector – from early on in her marketing/advertising career, helping Fortune 500 businesses attract prospects, to running a start-up that focused on lead generation for small to mid-size businesses, and in her current role, where she considers herself a matchmaker for businesses and technologists. She possesses over 25 years’ experience of bridging connections and building relationships.
Heather received her bachelor’s in marketing/Management from Rutgers University and worked for one of the largest agencies holding companies in the world. She was responsible for planning and managing multi-million-dollar ad campaigns for her clients. She joined Halcyon in 2018 and although recruiting was new to her, it wasn’t very different from her work at the ad agency – it was all still about making connections – only now she was focused on connecting Hiring Managers with their ideal talent.
Heather is the proud mom of two sons, her most celebrated accomplishment, and she is so very grateful to have worked for companies such as Halcyon, who truly value and support work-life balance for all employees.
