2014 Software Quality Assurance Class Graduates
The fourth class of Halcyon’s Veteran’s Workforce Development Program graduated in Jan 2014 with high performance. The veterans who participated in this class spent the last five weeks learning concepts, techniques and tools used in Software Quality Assurance and System Testing. This rigorous course exposed the students to current software development methodologies like Agile and hands on experience using tools like HP QC/QTP that are being leveraged by IT teams to conduct system testing and requirements validation. In addition, the veterans were also provided with job search tools such as assistance in resume writing and interviewing skills.
The program has been well received by various companies in Columbus. Companies who are interviewing and meeting with class participants include – State of Ohio Department of Development Disabilities, IGS Energy, Grange Insurance, OCLC andCardinal Health.
