Halcyon’s President Selected as Entrepreneur in Residence by State of Ohio’s LeanOhio Program
Recently, Halcyon’s President Sanjay Dudaney was awarded the Green Belt Certification by State of Ohio’s LeanOhio program. LeanOhio uses Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve process efficiency, streamline business processes and eliminate bottlenecks. Several State agencies have already realized measurable benefits by implementing Lean and Six Sigma with the help of the LeanOhio office. These benefits include eliminating months of backlog for disability applications, reducing the time it takes to issue specialized license plates and processing grant applications in fewer days.
LeanOhio recently partnered with the private sector by inviting small business entrepreneurs to become part of the program. Through the process of training, information sharing and leveraging private sector experience, LeanOhio’s EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence) program has benefited significantly from the participation from industry executives. In return, these entrepreneurs have gained a better insight into the functioning of public sector agencies and also learnt Lean and Six Sigma principles.

“This is the first time LeanOhio has partnered with private sector entrepreneurs and provided them with an opportunity to become part of a State program” says Sanjay Dudaney. “After going through the LeanOhio EIR program, I am fully convinced that the two groups can help each other by collaborating and sharing of ideas on how to make processes more efficient, more lean and more customer-service oriented. This has been a valuable and enriching experience for me and I would like to thank the State of Ohio and the LeanOhio program for giving me this opportunity”.
